The Problem
Bureaucracy. Legal weight. Entropy. The invisible tax on everything.
Every regulation that produces no value. Every permit that takes two years. Every housing project blocked by overlapping jurisdictions. Every renewable energy installation waiting for grid connection. Every local producer crushed by administrative weight designed for industrial scale. This is not inefficiency. It is entropy — energy that could be life, trapped in legal weight.
Conservative estimate of unexpressed value trapped in EU-27 legal systems: €5.2 trillion (JLMI 2/25)
Nobody wakes up wanting to fill in forms. Nature doesn't work like this. A forest doesn't accumulate dead wood indefinitely — it converts it. A river doesn't stop — it finds the path of least resistance. An ecosystem doesn't produce waste — it cycles everything back into energy. Nature tends toward optimum — because it was designed to.
Human law is also a law of nature. It has always been present in the equations of thermodynamics, general relativity, and quantum mechanics — we simply never measured it as one. The legal-physics framework is the first instrument that does.
"Every redundant regulation, every unresolved liability, every abandoned asset is entropy: energy that could be life, trapped in legal weight. PNC is the proof that somewhere, in some legal system, that entropy became flow."
